Biographies:

 

Rob Hale

Partner, Goodwin Procter

Rob Hale, a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice, represents employers across a broad spectrum of employment matters.

Mr. Hale’s practice involves representation of clients in employment litigation, including noncompetition, discrimination, wrongful discharge, FLSA and ERISA litigation. He has obtained successful results for employers at all stages of litigation, including in preliminary injunction proceedings, at summary judgment, at trial and on appeal. Mr. Hale is experienced in successfully representing employers before administrative agencies and in labor arbitrations. His practice also includes counseling in numerous areas of labor and employment law, including disability discrimination, sexual harassment and other discrimination matters; noncompetition agreement and other restrictive covenants; downsizing; employment agreements; wage and hour compliance; collective bargaining; and personnel policy development and administration. In addition, Mr. Hale is experienced in providing training for managers, supervisors and human resources professionals.

Mr. Hale serves on the Federal Labor Standards Legislation Committee of the American Bar Association. He is a former chair of the ABA’s subcommittee on the Family and Medical Leave Act, the ABA’s subcommittee on the WARN Act and the Boston Bar Association’s Employee Benefits/ERISA Committee. Mr. Hale is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.

Mr. Hale has spoken at a number of seminars, including those presented by the American, Boston and Massachusetts Bar Associations and various professional and trade groups.

Mr. Hale is co-editor-in-chief of the comprehensive and leading treatise entitled The Family and Medical Leave Act, and a chapter editor of The Fair Labor Standards Act – both published jointly by the American Bar Association and the Bureau of National Affairs.

Prior to joining Goodwin Procter, Mr. Hale clerked for Justice Armstrong of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.  Mr. Hale is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts.

Mr. Hale has been recognized by Super Lawyers magazine as a New England Super Lawyer, and has been selected for inclusion in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and The Best Lawyers in America.

 

William N. Driscoll

President, New England District

Robert Half International

William N. Driscoll, New England District President, is based in Robert Half International's Boston office.  Bill oversees professional staffing services for RHI's 23 offices throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island and portions of New York. 

Bill began his career with the company in 1992 in the Boston office where he consistently ranked among RHI's top10 salespeople worldwide.  Promoted to Area Manager in 1996, Driscoll transferred to Atlanta and soon increased RHI’s presence in Georgia from one office to seven statewide, including Macon and Savannah.  Driscoll became a Regional Manager in 1998 and only three years later took on the highly visible role of District President over all of the company's operations in North and South Carolina, Georgia and Jacksonville, Fla.  He returned to Boston as New England District President in January of 2006. 

Driscoll is active in the Boston business community and is heavily involved with Junior Achievement of Eastern Massachusetts. Bill was elected by his peers to be Vice-Chairman of the Junior Achievement Board of Directors, which is comprised of senior level executives from leading companies in the Greater Boston area.  Junior Achievement provides programs to schools that teach financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.

 

Bill also sits on the Corporate Advisory Board for the Boston chapter of ALPFA, the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance & Accounting.  In this role, he advises the President on programmatic and strategic initiatives, promotes and attends events, and serves as an ambassador within his professional networks and beyond.

 

Bill serves as a national spokesperson for Robert Half International and has been featured in several top publications, including the Wall Street Journal and the Boston Globe.  He has also made appearances on local and national networks, including WFXT, NECN, PBS, and Fox Business News.  Bill is considered a local expert on the staffing industry, commenting on recruiting practices, hiring trends, and other workplace issues.

A graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont, Driscoll holds bachelor’s degrees in History and Spanish.  He still plays an active role in his alma mater serving as a class agent and class secretary as well as interviewing potential new students. He is also a class agent for Middlesex School.  Bill, his wife Laurel and their three children reside in Lexington, MA. He is an active member of the Concord Country Club, Stage Harbor Yacht Club, and the Eastward Ho! Country Club, where he sits on the Human Resources Committee.

Jamie Resker

Founder and Practice Leader, Employee Performance Solutions LLC

Jamie Resker, Founder and Practice Leader at Employee Performance Solutions (EPS), LLC, and is a recognized thought leader in the talent management field.  After exiting  the corporate world in 2004 Jamie started EPS.  She is a sought after speaker and facilitator who has spoken on topics including Mastering the Art of Performance Feedback, Managing Bad Apple Employees and Modernizing the Performance Review.  Her thoughts on talent management have appeared on Boston.com, AOL small business, NEHRA Insights Magazine and Inc.com.  She also serves as an instructor at the Boston University Corporate Education Center and is an active member of the Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA).  At NEHRA she is an instructor for the Talent Management HR Basics program, is on the Advisory Board, co-chaired the Spring 2010 and 2011 Conferences and received the 2011 volunteer of the year award.  She is also a board member of the HR Institute’s Performance Management Advisory Group. 

 

Robert M. DiMase

Rob DiMase is the Executive Vice President of Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group and President of Sentinel Insurance Agency, Inc. As a 20-year industry veteran, Rob specializes in the design, implementation, communication and administration of all types of employee benefits plans.

 

Rob began his career as an account executive with Great West Life Assurance and Annuity Company where he was responsible for marketing fully insured and self-funded Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance; Flexible Spending Account programs and 401(k) plans.  He joined Sentinel Benefits as a sales representative in 1993. In 1998 he became a partner in the organization.

 

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a concentration in Marketing from Boston College. He is a Board member of the Massachusetts Association of Health Underwriters and an active member on Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Harvard Pilgrim broker advisory boards. 

 

Rob holds FINRA Series 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses. He is also a licensed Life & Health insurance agent and licensed Life & Health insurance advisor.

 

Kate Jaspon

Vice President, Controller and Treasurer

Dunkin’ Brands

Kate is the Vice President, Controller and Treasurer of Dunkin' Brands (parent company to Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins), where she leads a team of approximately 100 employees. Since joining Dunkin' in 2005, Kate has assumed responsibility for the accounting, financial reporting, debt and cash management, insurance, enterprise risk management (including SOX), contract and lease administration and the records management functions.  Over the last 7 years Kate has lead Dunkin' through a number of transactions which include the Company's IPO and two follow-on equity offerings, a securitization and numerous other debt transactions, the divestiture of a brand and several IT and business system implementations.

Prior to joining Dunkin' Brands, Kate was as a Senior Manager at KPMG LLP. Kate  began her career with KPMG and spent eight years working in the high tech and bio tech industries supporting both privately held and publically traded companies. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College. She is a CPA licensed in Massachusetts and a member of the MSCPA, AICPA, FEI and WFF.  She is a Board member of the DDBR National Community Foundation and also actively supports Keeping Pace with Multiple Miracles and several other charities.
